Monitoring, new boot images, and public IPv4 billing

Monitoring goes end to end

LayerRail Monitoring now covers the full flow: metrics backends, log backends, uptime checks, and alert rules — all billable as clearly listed platform primitives, all visible in the console next to the resources they watch.

  • Metrics and log storage billed per GB-month
  • Uptime checks from $0.93 per check-month
  • Alert rules from $0.47 per rule-month

New boot images

Ubuntu 26.04 and Debian 13 join the VM image catalog alongside the existing Ubuntu 24.04, Debian 12, AlmaLinux 9, and Rocky Linux 9 options.

Public IPv4 billing

Public IPv4 is now shown as included where the plan covers it and billed as a distinct line item where it does not — no more guessing which plans carry the address cost.

Object storage, block volumes, and Edge services

Storage primitives

Three storage products are now first-class, billable primitives:

  • Object storage — S3-compatible buckets at $0.0187/GB-mo, with public bucket URLs and standard S3 endpoints.
  • Block volumes — standalone volumes at $0.0373/GB-mo, attachable to any VM in the same region.
  • Backups — retained backup storage at $0.0373/GB-mo across VMs and managed PostgreSQL.

LayerRail Edge

The first Edge services are available at $5.60 per service-month, covering origin routing, hostname mapping, and cache mode configuration.

Also shipped

  • Domain registrar workflows (phase two and three)
  • Edge worker proxy improvements
  • Quieter transient worker and mesh health errors
